Turbine & Generator Major Inspection with auxiliaries completed in 19 days

Due to the continuous power shortage and the extra demand for Electricity due to the cold season in Kurdistan, it was asked from Errigal energy to perform Major inspection for one of Erbil Gas Power Station units during December – 2023, and as it was very close to holidays season, we were tasked with having to compress the outage schedule as much as we could without effecting the quality.
Our team mobilized to site on 05th December, and started the outage onsite on 6th December. We managed to complete all turbine and generator activities in just 18 days and put the turbine to turning gear. During the outage all major capital parts of the unit were replaced with new or refurbished ones. The bearings were replaced and new alignment has been done. A complete overhaul inspection was done on gearbox in parallel to the turbine and Generator activities.
